Every year, something special happens across Europe and beyond its borders: people come together to celebrate the Erasmus+ programme, a project that’s all about learning, sharing, and growing together.

Erasmus Days

This year, from 13th to 18th October 2025, the world will once again light up with #ErasmusDays as thousands of events unfold simultaneously in schools, universities, youth centres and online spaces all over the world. Workshops, exhibitions, conferences, storytelling sessions and cultural exchanges will collectively highlight what makes Erasmus+ more than just a mobility programme.

What Are the Erasmus Days?

Imagine a global party where everyone comes together to celebrate their passion for curiosity, adventure, and intercultural exchange. This is what Erasmus Days stands out for!

Launched in 2017, Erasmus Days were designed to showcase the achievements of Erasmus+ projects and to inspire new participants to take part. Over time, it has grown into a worldwide celebration involving more than 100 countries and tens of thousands of activities, all driven by the same spirit: learning without borders.

Whether you’ve been part of an Erasmus exchange, coordinated a project, or simply believe in the value of international cooperation, Erasmus Days offers a unique chance for you to tell your own story, and more importantly, connect with others who share the same passion. It’s also the perfect time to discover new opportunities; whether you dream of studying abroad, doing an internship in another country or joining a youth exchange project.

Why It Matters

Erasmus+ isn’t just about studying abroad. It’s about inclusion, sustainability, digital transformation and active citizenship. It gives young people and professionals the opportunity to grow personally and professionally while discovering new cultures and perspectives.

During Erasmus Days, we get to hear hundreds of inspiring stories from people who took a leap into the unknown and came back with lifelong friendships, a new sense of independence and even a new language under their belt. By celebrating Erasmus Days, we also celebrate the values that make Europe and the world stronger: unity in diversity, lifelong learning and mutual understanding.

How You Can Join In

Even if you haven’t been on Erasmus (yet!), there are so many ways you can take part:

  • Attend an Erasmus Days event near you - check erasmusdays.eu for listings.
  • Share your story or dream Erasmus destination using #ErasmusDays.
  • Get in touch with your university’s international office about upcoming exchange or volunteering opportunities.

So this October, let’s celebrate what connects us, because the Erasmus spirit lives on with every new experience, every friendship formed and every dream that crosses borders.
